Toronto homeowners are turning to luxury vinyl plank in record numbers — and the reasons go beyond just waterproofing.
**Climate resilience:** Ontario's seasonal swings — humid summers and dry winters — cause real hardwood to expand and contract, creating gaps in winter and potential cupping in summer. SPC vinyl's rigid stone composite core is dimensionally stable regardless of temperature and humidity, making it the most worry-free flooring for Toronto's climate.
**Basement perfection:** Toronto's Victorian semis, century homes, modern condos, and executive properties often include finished basements that see real moisture. Whether it's spring runoff, a dehumidifier drip, or the occasional sump pump scare, SPC vinyl won't swell, warp, or grow mould. It's the only flooring that truly thrives below grade.
**Family-proof durability:** With scratch resistance rated for commercial traffic (AC4 and AC5 options available), our vinyl planks handle dog claws, kids in sports cleats, and heavy furniture without showing damage. The UV-resistant wear layer also means no fading from sunlight exposure near windows.
**Sound and comfort:** Our premium 9mm+ SPC lines with built-in cork underlayment deliver warmth underfoot and significant sound dampening — important for condos with IIC/STC requirements and for anyone who doesn't want the "click-clack" feel of thinner vinyl.
