Most flooring sold in the GTA is imported — shipped across an ocean, acclimatized to a factory floor thousands of kilometres away, and not necessarily built for Canadian humidity swings. Canadian-made hardwood is milled here, for homes here. That means tighter dimensional stability through our dry winters and humid summers, shorter supply chains, and dollars that stay in the domestic economy.

At BBS Flooring in Markham, we carry Canadian-made White Oak and Red Oak across engineered and solid lines — real domestic hardwood you can see and stand on in our showroom before you buy.

Our deepest Canadian-made selection is engineered White Oak from Impressive — 38 Canadian-milled options in 5", 6½", and wider planks, starting at just $4.25/sqft. Engineered construction pairs a real oak wear layer with a stable core, so it installs over concrete and in basements where solid hardwood can't go.

We also carry Canadian-built engineered hardwood from Northernest and Canadian Standard — giving you one of the widest domestic-hardwood selections in the GTA under one roof.

For classic ¾" solid Red Oak milled in Canada, Impressive's solid line comes in two widths (3¼" and 4¼") and two grades (Select and Select & Better) from $5.25/sqft. Nail-down solid hardwood is the buy-it-once floor — sandable and refinishable for decades.

Canadian-made flooring is worth seeing in person — grain, colour, and finish read differently under real light than on a screen.
